At the age of 13, when I started helping out in the gastronomy during my holidays, I already knew that this would become my profession. In 1987 I started to work in Kitzbühel (in the former disco “Drop In”) and my next goal was to own my own restaurant! To gain different experiences, I always moved abroad, so I worked in Stuttgart, Bremen and until today at the Oktoberfest in Munich (wine tent – the best address!). For a few years I was traveling for a Kitzbühel catering company with the tennis circus in St.Pölten, Kitzbühel and the ATP final in Hannover.
For the Kitzbühel Tourist Board I organized several years of “Winter Openings” in Vienna and Munich. At these events, the HighSociety met to ring in the winter. About 6 years ago my wife Geli and I had the chance to take over a Cafe – Apres Ski at the foot of the Hahnenkamm. We also use these and operated the restaurant successfully for 6 years. However, it has always been my desire to run a business that has almost every facet of gastronomy. DH Cafe, kitchen, bar. We were able to meet them on 16 July 2013, and open the “s’Kitz”!
